At some point in our life, those sticky situations we get into may seem sad and hopeless. Even if you are optimistic by nature, hard times come upon all of us and no one is exempt. During these stressful days, we need to draw near to the Lord with courage and boldness.
I didn’t give Psalms much thought as that was significant for my life until I dug deeper when I wondered why David was considered a man after God’s own heart. I focused too much on his sins instead of the scriptures of Psalms.

Psalms for Strength in Difficult Times
We must draw our strength using God’s Word. The older I get, the more precious His message becomes. It feeds my soul with hope, joy, and peace.
The world will tell you it’s hopeless, you’re a victim, or just get used to it.
Yet, the scripture tells you the opposite – you don’t gain anything from your own strength. It’s temporary and shallow. Instead, He is your strength – remember, He split the Red Sea, ripped the tabernacle veil from top to bottom, and walked boldly on water.
Draw close to Him, and He will draw close to you. What a wonderful promise when your heart is tender and full of pain.
Take and pray over these Bible Verses in Psalms to draw strength during a critical time when stress is taking over your life.
