When we voice our heartfelt prayers for lost souls, Jesus hears and will move on our petitions. During His time on earth, Jesus prioritized the rescuing of souls.
He even illustrated how He’d go after one lost soul—even if it meant leaving behind 99 others. After he rose from the grave, Jesus told Peter if you love me, you will feed my sheep.
One way to feed unsaved souls is through prayer. Prayer is a powerful weapon against the enemy and can help set people free from spiritual bondage.

May the Lord bestow upon you a feeling of solace, delight, and hope as you strive to bring those in need of Jesus’ great kindness closer to Him.
We can all do our part in helping Jesus by praying for family, friends, and other people who require compassion from our Redeemer.
Prayer for Lost Souls To Be Found
If you’re reading this, God may have placed a burden on your heart to pray for the lost and bring them closer to Him.
The only way to create meaningful change in this world is for individuals to know Jesus and be transformed from the inside out.
Lord, in Jesus’ name, we pray for lost souls to be found and know you are a loving God waiting for them with open arms.
Let them feel your presence, forgive them of all their sins. Help each soul feel Your unconditional love, grace, and mercy. Fill them with the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Warfare Prayer for the Lost Souls
It can be difficult to imagine, but the Bible tells us the lost are ensnared by Satan’s deceptions. Check out the following scriptures:
- “I am sending you to open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God.” Act 26:17-18 ESV
- “Then they will come to their senses and escape from the devil’s trap. For they have been held captive by him to do whatever he wants.” 2 Tim. 2:26 NIV

To pierce the kingdom of darkness, we need to take up the Sword of Prayer. Here’s a warfare prayer for lost souls to be set free from spiritual bondage:
Lord, we come before you in prayer on behalf of those who are held captive by Satan and his lies. We cry out to You for them to be released from this spiritual bondage and give their life to Jesus.
Lord, shine your glorious light on the lost so they will turn away from darkness and be filled with the Holy Spirit.
We pray You break down every barrier between them and Yourself, so that they may experience true freedom in You. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Prayer for Lost Souls to Find God Again
If you have a loved one who has strayed from the path of faith, here is a prayer that can help them reconnect with their loving Father.
Dear Heavenly Father, please bring this person back into your embrace. Heal their wounded heart and restore it to wholeness.
Whether they are suffering from church hurt, endured abuse of any kind, lost someone dear to them, or are going through a period of ceaseless adversity, may Jesus bind up every broken piece of their heart and make them whole.
Show them your love and compassion, and make your presence known in their life. Amen
Prayer for Lost Souls to Receive God’s Blessings
When someone is yet to be saved and brought into God’s fold, they may feel like they are undeserving of His blessings.
It’s difficult to understand that every person is a beloved child of God and deserves His love, even those who are yet to meet Him. So let’s pray that God’s kindness and blessing will lead the lost to God.
Lord, we come before You in prayer on behalf of those who are lost and need to find You.
Please help them to understand their worth in Your eyes, so they may experience the genuine joy that comes from knowing You.
We pray that they receive Your blessings – peace, grace, mercy, health, wealth, good friends, and joy. Let them know you as a kind Father. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
Prayer for Lost Souls – Your Children
It can be heartbreaking when your family members might have turned their back on God or don’t even know Him.
Praying for your child’s soul to be saved is one of the most compassionate things we can do, so this person can feel God’s loving embrace.

We don’t know the backstory of the parable of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32). I’m sure that his father’s heart longed for his wayward son.
The father must have prayed fervently during those years when his son was living in sin. So here’s a prayer for your prodigal son or daughter.
Lord, in Jesus’ name, help my son/daughter to find their way to you and turn from his/her sins. May they sense your presence surrounding them with peace, joy, and hope.
Protect them lord while you guide them back into your loving arms. Give me the strength and fill me with hope for them and trust You with their future. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Prayer for Lost Souls- Friends
Praying for your friends is a powerful way to help them come back to God. Or open their hearts and minds to those who don’t believe in God.
Lord, we lift up our friends who are separated from You right now. We know even when they don’t feel it; you are constantly loving them and thinking of them.
Surround them with faith-filled friends and bring Christian people into their lives to show them your love in tangible ways.
Open the eyes of their hearts so they will see the truth of your word and receive it. We pray they have a hunger for You, Lord. Amen.
Prayer for Lost Souls -Spouse
If you are saved and your spouse isn’t, of course, God wants you to stay with your unsaved spouse!
“For the unbelieving husband is made holy by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is made holy but the husband. Otherwise, your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy.” 1 Cor. 7:14 CSB
This is a relief. Because of your faith, God’s grace covers your husband. But you believe in living an even fuller Christian lifestyle with your spouse.
You long to pray together, attend church in unison, and read the Bible side by side.
It’s important to pray for your spouse since you are their spiritual covering. Your prayers will matter.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your grace and mercy over my marriage. We pray for our unsaved spouse, that you will soften their heart by the power of Your Holy Spirit.
May they come to understand Your Word. Renew their mind and open the eyes of their understanding so they may see with clarity the beauty of a life lived in your presence. We ask this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Prayer For the Lost Souls- Grandchildren
Many of us can thank a grandparent for praying for us to receive salvation. Praying for the lost grandchildren is a beautiful act of faith and grace.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for our precious grandchildren. We ask as they grow in life and into adulthood, You will draw them closer to You.
And through Your power and grace, they may come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord. And when we are together, help me show them your love, and teach them Your ways.
May all of our grandchildren come to know You and serve You all the days of their lives. And may they carry out God’s will in their lives. We ask this in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Prayer For Lost Souls-Parent
We want to see our parents in heaven, but it can be heartbreaking to know their salvation isn’t secure.
Our parents raised us and now we need to lift them up in prayer so they can have peace and joy in this life.
Heavenly Father, You are the only hope for those who are lost. We ask You to look upon our father/mother with mercy and grace.
Open their eyes to the truth of your word and draw them closer to Jesus. Let your spirit work in their hearts and minds, that they may come to know salvation through Him. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Prayer for Lost Souls-Siblings
Sibling relationships can be carefree or complicated, but one thing is for certain: you want your brother or sister to be saved and have a personal relationship with Jesus.
Gracious heavenly Father, we ask You to look upon our brother/sister with grace and mercy. Holy Spirit hover over our siblings and show them the way to You.
Guide us in how best to love, support, and encourage our siblings so that they too may one day accept You as Lord and Savior. Amen.
Prayer For The Lost Souls-Neighbor
Our neighbors may be a source of joy and comfort, but some have yet to find the path to salvation.
Maybe your neighbor’s noisy pup is keeping you up at night or their dilapidated camper has obstructed the view from your window.
If you find yourself frustrated with an irritating neighbor, remember that God wants us to love our neighbor. (Mark 12:31)
And what better way is there to express your love than by praying for a neighbor to be saved?
Holy Father, we pray for our neighbors in need of salvation. May Your Holy Spirit convict them, pour out grace on them and create in their hearts a desire to turn toward You.
Lord help us to love our neighbors and continue to pray for their salvation. We ask in Jesus’ name, Amen.
