Maybe you are looking for God’s favor at work, in your business, over your family, or even as you wait for the results of a medical test.
I am personally praying for God’s favor over my business, as well as in the lives of several of my family members.
While most of us want God’s favor, a lot of us struggle with how to pray for God’s favor. Fortunately, I’ve created some simple, yet powerful prayer examples that you can use to get started.

How Do I Pray for God’s Favor?
Before discussing how to pray for God’s favor, we should understand exactly what the favor of God means.
God’s favor, also known as grace, is the act of God granting us the power to do something that would otherwise be impossible for us to accomplish.
Examples include the fact that we can only experience eternal life because of God’s unmerited kindness, as well as the fact that we have the opportunity to live for the Lord because of God’s grace.
Simply put, God’s favor or grace can be defined as God granting us the ability to do something that would otherwise be impossible for us to accomplish on our own.
When we are praying for God’s favor it is important to:
- Be humble
- Show remorse for our sins (i.e., a contrite spirit)
- Believe what God says in His word.
Prayers for God’s Favor
Today is a good day to get a dose of God’s favor. You already have it if you’re God’s child.
Psalms 90:17 let us know that it’s our right as children of God to ask for God’s favor. It reads,
May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us; yes, establish the work of our hands. (NIV)
Therefore, I want to encourage you to begin to pray for the favor of God with the below prayers for favor.
Dear Lord, I am aware that You delight in lavishing abundant blessings on Your children. Thank you for allowing me to experience Your blessings and favor today. I can’t wait to see how You will support, strengthen, and bless me as You go through this journey with me. And please assist me in being a benefit to others in my immediate vicinity. Prayer for Favor and Blessings
Noah found favor in God’s sight and was blessed. Just like Noah, I am sure you desire the favor of God and blessings in your life. When you are seeking God’s favor and blessing, pray the below prayer.
Please, O Lord God Almighty, hear my plea and answer me. I pray that You will look upon me favorably and shower me with your blessings. I thank You in advance. Help me to become more intimate with You as I travel this path, and to put my faith in your ability to bring about my breakthrough at the appropriate time. I pray to You in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Prayer for Supernatural Favor
Is there an area of your life in which you are needing supernatural favor from God because the “ask” is so big?
God’s power is bigger and stronger than anything you could possibly ask for so all you need to do is ask Him in prayer!
The Bible says to
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” (NIV)
O LORD, my God, I ask for the supernatural favor in all parts of my life. Keep Your eyes on me this week and throughout the month as I go about my business. Keep an eye on me with Your loving compassion and tenderness. In the name of Jesus, guide me in all of my decisions and protect me at all times! In the name of Jesus, please surround me with Your heavenly favor. Amen.
You should use biblical verses to pray for favor and supernatural favor in order to receive breakthroughs and mercies.
Prayer for Financial Favor
A lot of things may happen in life that will cause you to seek financial favor. From job loss to unexpected medical bills or other expenses, to a lack of financial education.
You may feel helpless if you’re having financial difficulties.
Offer up to God a prayer for financial favor.
Lord, You are the source of all the blessings, and I ask to open up all the financial doors of heaven in my favor. In the name of Jesus, grant me a level of prosperity that will completely erase any financial stress I am facing. Allow satan to come nowhere close to my financial blessings which you have granted. Help me to get stronger financially, and be a good steward of what You have blessed me with, in Jesus Name I ask. Amen
It is in these moments that it is important to remember God is more than willing and able to help you and send a financial breakthrough your way.
Prayer for Favor at Work
Are you praying for God’s favor in your workplace? Maybe you are hoping for increased responsibility or a promotion?

My heavenly Father, as I walk into this place of business, allow me to feel Your presence. I invoke Your peace, Your grace, Your mercy, and Your perfect order in this office by speaking Your words of peace, grace, and mercy. I recognize that You have complete control over everything that will be said, thought about, decided, and done within these walls. I thank You, Lord, for the many blessings You have bestowed upon me. Donate Your blessings to my projects and thoughts as well as my energies so that even the slightest accomplishment will bring You honor. Amen.
Prayer for Favor in Business

Thank you, Almighty God. I come before You with gladness in my heart, knowing that You are my rock and that You will see me through this court matter to a successful conclusion. It is with thanksgiving that I come into Your presence, for You are my great God and King over all earthly authority, as I have said before. Your control over everything, including the outcome of this case, is complete. I bow my head and kneel before You, my Creator, since You are my God, and I am under Your protection and care. Daily Prayer for Blessings and Favor
Every morning when you wake up, do not fail to speak positivity into your life and for the day with morning prayers of gratitude to God.
When we start our day thanking God simply for who He is, we can anticipate many blessings to follow!
Please, O Lord God Almighty, hear my plea and answer me. I pray that you will look upon me favorably and shower me with your blessings. I thank you in advance. It is extremely detrimental to our well-being to be without God’s favor and mercy in our life.
This is because there are times when specific problems are beyond our control or capacity, and only God’s mercy and favor can assist.
When faced with these conditions or challenges, it is possible to live a life filled with struggles and frustration.
We require God’s mercy and favor to navigate these challenging situations in our lives successfully.
There is no condition, no predicament, no circumstance—nothing—that is more powerful than the grace of God…the favor that surrounds you in your time of need.
