Here’s my confession time — my prayer life hasn’t always been strong and successful.
Several years ago, I’d get up in the morning crabby and stressed over my busy schedule and taking care of young kids.
I wasn’t at all intentional about my prayer life. I would just pray every once in a while when I needed something or someone asked for prayer.
However, after getting convicted through His Word in Ephesians 5:18-21, I realized I was focusing on my needs instead of relying on Him to take care of my needs.
Thus, I began a journey focusing on my prayer life early in the morning.
It started with adoration (praising) and confession (repenting of sin), followed by Thanksgiving (thanking God for blessings) and supplication (praying for others/myself).
This transformed my day from a discouraging, stressful outlook into a happy, positive attitude of gratitude no matter what situation lay ahead. I could tackle anything with God on my side!
